I like to describe myself as a community philosopher, someone who is able to see things from a variety of different perspectives without getting confused, and who uses this ability to guide communities towards collective prosocial thinking. Discovering practical tools such as [[Nonviolent Communication]] and [[Sociocracy]] have made it easier for me to navigate the often messy and murky realities of trying to live in community with others, especially when they don't share the same worldviews. This [[Digital Garden|Digital Garden]] is a glimpse into my rabbit holes. It is where I leave breadcrumbs for myself, and plant a few flags in the shifting sands of thought. I am always guided by curiosity and a desire to explore. Another label I've often been tempted to use for myself is "mental journeyman". There are months on end when I neglect my thought-garden, but whenever I come back to it, I find that working in it has a positive influence on the quality of my thinking.
